Winter Parade

The first Saturday of December, Troy and I braved the cold cold weather to hit up the Meridian Winter Parade with the Buchers and the Daytons. Bundled with layers of clothes, gloves, hats and wrapped in blankets holding hot cocoa in hand, we found a nice spot right next to a restraunt on Main Street. Eventually we took the kids on the curb to get a better view of the "floats". Being Meridian, the highlights were highschool drum corps, old classical cars, some horses, and at last, Santa atop a fire engine. Not the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade by any means, but the kids still had fun, and Troy came away with a pocket-full of candy. Afterwards, we tried to check out the street fair. For me and Troy, though, after nabbin up our free cookies, we were chilled to the bone, so we were outta there and into the warm car!

That picture of you & Troy is so cute! We wanted to go to the Meridian parade and other events that day too, but we didn't make it. We're too wimpy I guess - I didn't want to brave the cold!
